A TRIBUTE NIGHT FOR DAINTON CONNELL - The Pet Shop Boys are playing a small set and Suggs and Carl from Madness will be there as a support act at a Tribute event at London's Heaven Night Club near Trafalger Square, on Friday May the 2nd. The night starts at 10pm

Madness have performed "London Calling" by the Clash live at a gig.

The charity side of the gig in Bridgewater on January the 8th was linked to Joe Strummer you see thats why the song "London Calling" was played in the encore. With Suggs reading the lyrics to the classic clash song.

It has also come to light since this review that Anday MacKay Roxy Music Saxophonist and legend, played sax with the band on One Step Beyond at this show.

"Hi everyone. Thought you might be interested in this. After so long
it finally looks like the musical tour might be taking place. The last
I heard The Richmond Theatre production company were involved as I
signed the domain name for www.ourhousethemusical.co.uk to them well
over 1 1/2 years ago and never heard anything else but I came across
this today.

OUR HOUSE - THE MUSICAL

TimFirth.com can now give advance notice that the Madness musical OUR
HOUSE is to live again, in a brand new production featuring the
original creative team of Tim Firth, Matthew Warchus (Director), Rob
Howell (Designer) and Peter Darling (Choreographer). It will be
performed initially at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Stay tuned

The O2 Arena. Awesome venue. Purpose built arena with an entertainment
avenue of restaurants, bars and clubs, oh and an ice rink and chill
out bubble, and a cinema, and a museum to ancient Egypt's Tutankhamun,
all with it's own tube station for easy access.

The 02 staff told us that, Tutankhamun woke up during Night Boat to
Cairo and wandered around the main street area until the cold from the
ska ice rink froze him up again, and they could put him back into the
exhibit.

As Madness prepare for a new tour, the masters of joyous English pop tell Thomas H Green why they fight shy of celebrity

Also appearing at London's 02 arena in December are Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen and the Spice Girls, yet there's a sense that the heritage-rock industry has not yet canonised Madness.

"Don't start me off," says Madness guitarist Chris Foreman.

"I can't stand The X Factor, all that. The thing about Simon Cowell, look at anything he's created - it never has any artistic merit. The mind boggles - Louis Walsh, 29 No 1s and you can't remember one of them.

The tour starts on Monday at The London Astoria!
